Elley Duhe: “As humans we all suffer, but what we’re truly meant for is love!”

“I’m used to disappointment”, – said this stunning beautiful young lady in one of her interviews, and suddenly, after listening to it, the only thing you have in your mind is… how unfair it is that you haven’t met this very special person years before.

Singer and songwriter from the USA, Elley Duhe was a contestant on The Voice 2, her song “Blast off” was a finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition…

Elley’s brand new track “Millennium”, released in October 2016 in collaboration with Los Angeles producer Tarro, hit over 200k streams on SoundCloud just for 1 day (!), now reaching more than 1,5 million views on YouTube.

Exceptionally openhearted conversation with Elley Duhe as the 1st lady interviewed for 10questionstomusician.com

Writing a song is like…a personal therapy session…even if on the surface of the song it may seem totally unrelated to things you may have experienced there are pieces of you, your emotion, and your self expression in it.

The most beautiful thing I ever witnessed was…I’ve seen many beautiful views and moments in life, but the one that stands out the most right now is when I was going through the worst 6 months of my life and I kept asking for a sign everyday for a week…then one day I woke up, stepped outside, looked up and there was a 360 degree rainbow around the sun. And it filled me inside where I had lost hope.

If not music, I would choose…I would/will definitely become an activist. Not only in America, but all around the world. And learn how I can be of service in life to those who need it most (which is something I’m going to intertwine with music in hopes of bringing people together from all walks of life).

If my future children choose to be musicians…well, it’s not for the faint of heart, but music has always been in my family and it’s always been there for me, so I would never discourage it, if it’s something that makes them happy.

I do believe…that as humans we all suffer, but what we’re truly meant for is love.

My “Millenium” is…love, life, hate. death. The song “Millenium” is really just paying homage and respect to all the ones who have come before us… R.I.P. Frankie Scott (my one of a kind grandmother).

One of the best advises I’ve been ever given…just don’t be like the rest of them, kid!

The perfect concert…U2 in concert with my dad.

My family…is the reason for everything I do. Parents always be supportive of the children and their dreams and goals… I will never be able to repay or express the gratitude of what they’ve done for me.

I would love to sing a duet with…Bono.

My main music teacher and inspiration…is my father and all the truly talented/good hearted creatives I’ve had the pleasure of working with along the way.

Human’s beauty…should be valued most in their character.

If I could sing 1 song to be heard by the whole world, this song would be…all of my future records. The best ones at least, haha.
